CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa Saturday said that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi's fast for communal harmony and unity was in line with the AIADMK's policy and she has asked two of her party MPs to be at the venue as an expression of goodwill."He (Modi) spoke to me on the telephone and asked me to send someone to felicitate his fast. So, I have sent two members of parliament, V. Maitreyan and M. Thambidurai," Jayalalithaa told news channel reporters here."Narendra Modi is fasting for communal harmony, peace and unity. This is also in line with our policy of maintaining communal harmony and peace," she added.Modi announced the launch of a 'Sadbhavana mission' to strengthen social harmony by sitting on a fast for three days. He had attended the swearing-in ceremony of Jayalalithaa as chief minister in May.Jayalalithaa, however, said that nothing much should be read into the gesture. "This does not mean there is change in political dynamics. It's just an expression of goodwill," she said.
