The girl says she was forced into prostitution and repeatedly raped by the policeman who was one of her clients.
Mumbai: Arun Borude, a senior Police Inspector in Mumbai with a record 50 encounter killings to his credit, is now being investigated for allegedly raping a minor. Borude went into hiding after his superiors ordered him to undergo a DNA test.
"The girl was pregnant. A police officer's name has come up in the complaint," said Ram Rao Pawar, Additional Commissioner of Police, Mumbai.
The 15-year-old victim delivered a baby girl in October. She has claimed that she was forced into prostitution and then repeatedly raped by Borude who was one of her clients.
She has also accused a pimp, Shantabai Gaikwad, who has been arrested. Police have launched a search operation to locate Borude.
