Ahmedabad: A National Investigation Agency constable was caught by Ahmedabad Crime Branch taking Rs 60 lakh from a city based trader.
Devidas Vaishnav allegedly extorted Rs. 60 lakhs from city based trader who has a business of construction material.
On June 23, Ahmedabad Crime Branch had arrested 4 people including the NIA constable who has assisted in several key terror investigations.
In a fake NIA raid, Devidas and the other officials barged into the trader’s office but the CCTV camera of the trader exposed Devidas in the crime.
The NIA constable has confessed to misuse of power and has been under arrest.
