KOCHI:  The Ernakulam NIA Special Court will frame charges against Thadiyantavide Nazeer and 17 other accused in the Kashmir recruitment case on February 9.The trial proceedings will begin once charges are framed. Ernakulam Special Court Judge S Vijayakumar will read out the chargesheet against the 18 who are facing the first phase of the trial.There are 24 accused in the case, including four Malayalis killed in Kashmir. The 24th accused, Wali, is reportedly a Pakistani citizen and he was absconding. The accused have been charged with anti-national activities, waging war against the nation, possession of weapons and acts of sabotage. The prime accused in the case is Abdul Jaleel, a native of Edakkad in Kannur, and the second accused is Thadiyantavide Naseer, who is also a prime accused in several other terrorist cases.The case is that Abdul Jaleel, along with the other accused, operating in and out of Kerala, and allegedly having links with terrorist organisations, recruited youngsters for terror training in Pakistan, thereby assisting Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) for waging war against India. Four Keralites - Fayas, Abdul Rahim, Mohammed Yasin and Fayis - were killed in an encounter with security forces in Kashmir.Abdul Jaleel, M H Faisal, Thadiyantavide Nazeer, P Mujeeb, Shafas, Ibrahim Moulavi, Badaruddin, Abdul Jabbar, Sabir Buhari, Umar Farooq and Sarfraz Navas were also included in the Bangalore blasts case.
