No threat from Marandi: Arjun Munda
No threat from Marandi: Arjun Munda
Jharkand Chief Minister Arjun Munda claims the NDA government in the state will complete its full term.

Dhanbad: The NDA government in Jharkand will complete its full term, the Jharkand Chief Minister Arjun Munda said on Wednesday.

He justified the claim by saying that it (the NDA) had the required majority and faced no threat from Babulal Marandi, the former national Vice President of the BJP who resigned last week.

Marandi was associated with the party organisation and not with the government, Munda added.

Speaking at a road show, Munda said he considered Marandi, the first Chief Minister of the state, as Ram (his elder brother) and he was only carrying out the responsibility the party had given him.

He ruled out allegations that the BJP, after Marandi's resignation, was trying to create fissures in other parties of the state to keep the state NDA government going.

He explained that the road show was being held to establish direct contact with the people and had nothing to do with Marandi's resignation.

Munda, who was here to attend the closing session of the two-day state BJP minority cell executive meet, said his government had chalked out several programmes for the development of the Muslim community.
