Shabbir Ahmed from Srinagar was critical after being fired at by two unidentified men in Ujjain on Saturday.
New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday spoke to his Madhya Pradesh counterpart Shivraj Singh Chouhan, inquiring about the shooting of a Kashmiri student in Ujjain district.
"Spoke to the CM of MP regarding Ujjain shooting of Kashmiri youth. He has assured guilty will be punished and other Kashmiri boys' safety also," Abdullah posted on Twitter.
Shabbir Ahmed from Srinagar was critical after being fired at by two unidentified assailants in Ujjain on Saturday. He was doing M Phil from Vikram Vishwavidyalaya.
Police said Ahmed was walking on the road when he was shot.
