HYDERABAD: One person was killed and four others were injured when an RTC bus rammed into their autotrolley on Warangal highway in the wee hours of Thursday.The deceased, B Madhukar alias Raju (26), owner and driver of the auto trolley, was returning to the city after transporting a Ganesh idol to Nalgonda district.According to Ghatkesar police, organisers of a pandal hired Madhukar's auto and took a Ganesh idol to Ramannapet in Nalgonda district from Hyderabad.After unloading the idol, Madhukar was returning to the city when four persons, including two women, boarded his auto to get dropped in the city.While the women and one man sat in the trolley, the other man sat in the driver's cabin."Around 5.30 a.m., the vehicle reached Annojiguda when an RTC bus coming in the opposite direction collided with it.Madhukar died while being shifted to a hospital.The condition of four passengers was stated to be stable," Ghatkesar SI Shafi Ahmed said.Madhukar was a resident of Indra Nagar in Ramanthapur.Repair works were being carried out on the highway due to which traffic was restricted to single file and this led to the accident.The RTC Express bus involved in the accident belongs to Jangaon depot.It was proceeding to Jangaon in Warangal district from Hyderabad.The RTC bus driver has been arrested.YOUTH KILLED: A youngster was killed while his friend suffered injuries in an accident at Keesara.The victim, Sarath Chandra (24), was a resident of Nagaram.He along with his friend, Mahesh, were riding on a motorcycle when Sarath lost control over the vehicle and crashed into a roadside tree.He died while being shifted to a hospital while his friend was grievously injured.
