One washed away in Udupi rivulet

UDUPI: The rain spell on Monday night and Tuesday claimed yet another life in Udupi district. One Sheshi Marathi, 60, wife of Thimma Marathi, of Ganganadu, in Baindore, was washed away while crossing a rivulet on Monday night.
A cattle belonging to one Rudru in YadadiMathyadi village died on the spot after it came in contact with a live electric wire fallen on a field. A tree rolled down on an Anganawadi building in Hanehalli. As the incident happened in the night, no casualties were reported.
