Pak slams British PM's remarks on terror
Pakistani High Commissioner to the UK says David Cameron should have considered Paks role in the war on terror.

London: Pakistan on Wednesday reacted strongly against British Prime Minister David Cameron's warning that it should not have links with terror groups.

"One would have hoped that the British Prime Minister would have considered Pakistan's enormous role in the war on terror and the sacrifices it has made since 9/11. He seems to be more reliant on information based on intelligence leaks, despite it lacking credibility. A bilateral visit aimed at attracting business could have been conducted without damaging the prospects of regional peace," Pakistani High Commissioner to the UK Wajid Shamsul Hasan told a British daily.

Hasan was reacting to Cameron's statement in Bangalore on Wednesday where he blamed Pakistan for exporting terror.

"We cannot tolerate in any sense the idea that this country (Pakistan) is allowed to look both ways and is able to promote the export of terror, whether to India, Afghanistan or anywhere else in the world," Cameron had said.

Cameron's remarks followed the leak of secret US war documents on WikiLeaks website that said the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI was allegedly helping the Afghan Taliban.

Cameron arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday from Bangalore, leading a 90-member trade delegation comprising ministers, CEOs, cultural figures and sports stars. It is the largest British delegation to vist India since 1947.
