HYDERABAD: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has said a state level committee will look into the case of TRS leader Cheruku Sudhakar, who was arrested by the police under the Preventive Detention Act, in Nalgonda district. TRS MLAs staged a dharna before the chief minister’s chamber on Friday, denouncing the arrest of Sudhakar under the PD Act.They demanded that the TRS leader be released immediately. The TRS MLAs accused the government of foisting false cases against Sudhakar. Later, a TRS delegation met the chief minister. TRS MLA KT Rama Rao said the chief minister promised to take a decision on their demand for release of Sudhakar basing on the report submitted by the state level committee. The TRS MLA threatened to launch an agitation if the chief minister fails to fulfil his assurance given to them.Meanwhile, DGP V Dinesh Reddy and law minister E Pratap Reddy who met Kiran Kumar Reddy, reportedly discussed the TRS demand for release of Sudhakar.
