Pathankot: Four Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists have been killed by security forces in Pathankot and more are suspected to be hiding as the gun battle continues. Around 6-7 terrorists entered the airbase in an attempt to destroy the Air Force set up.
The security forces acted on the advance intelligence and National Security Guard teams were sent in advance on Friday evening to handle it. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval is coordinating the whole operation.
Pathankot is MiG-21 Bison base of the Indian Air Force. The location of the attack is about 50 kms from Gurdaspur where another terror attack had taken place in July 2015.
A high alert was sounded in Punjab after 4-5 suspected Pakistani terrorists in Army uniform abducted and thrashed a Superintendent of Police and his two associates before dumping them some distance away and speeding away in his vehicle on Thursday night.
