SRIVILLIPUTHUR: A flock of peafowls was found dead in Pulichikulam village near Narikudi in Virudhunagar district on Thursday after eating poisoned paddy .To deal with the menace of their grains being destroyed, some farmers fed peafowls paddy mixed with poison. The fowls dropped dead one after the next. Wildlife officials conducted postmortem of the birds’ carcasses.
