CHENNAI: The sisters of Perarivalan, G Arulselvi and G Anbumani, are clearly bitter at the throes their life has been thrown into. But there is still no let-up in the admiration for their brother. In his teenage, Arivu, as he is fondly called by family and friends, was more polite and honest, insisted Arulselvi, an assistant lecturer at Annamalai University. “His tendency to help is immeasurable.” He held a lot of competitions in prison and motivated all to learn. “He asked us to buy textbooks. Many inmates wrote the public exam and passed because of his efforts,” said a proud Anbumani, working in the rural development department.
