New Delhi: National Innovation Council and the Planning Commission have come together with some of the best institutions in the country to organise the first ever 'Hackathon' on the 12th Five-Year Plan on April 6 and 7.
Hackathon is a two day event where students and professionals from around the country will be given an opportunity to use their understanding of the 12th Five Year Plan and encouraged to transform the same into innovative projects such as - visualisations like information graphics and posters, short films, edutainment games and mobile/web applications.
The event is being organised simultaneously in 11 locations across India and participants can also join virtually. "Thousands of young creative designers, coders, film-makers along with policy and development enthusiasts will visualise and narrate the 12th Plan through infographics, short films, and support the initiatives proposed in the Plan by developing software applications," said an official statement.
Registrations have been closed and the second round of the event is underway, and it will run till April 2 midnight. There will be judges from all walks of life. Click here to know more about the event.
