Popular Tamil director Jeeva dead

New Delhi: Popular cinematographer-turned-director Jeeva died in Moscow on Tuesday following cardiac arrest.

Jeeva was shooting for a Tamil film Dhaam Dhoom starring Jeyam Ravi and Kangana Raut in the Russian capital.

Jeeva, who has worked in over 40 films including Shankar's Gentleman, Kadhalan and Indian, is survived by his wife Annesha and three children.

Jeeva has also worked for several Bollywood blockbusters including films directed by Priyadharshan.

Some of his Hindi movies include Hulchul, Yeh Tera Ghar Yeh Mera Ghar, Run, Kushi, Bhagam Bhag and Hera Pheri among others.

Jeeva’s body is expected to be brought back to Chennai on Wednesday for the final rites.
