Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's advisor Prashant Kishor is in trouble after a man from the state approached the Supreme Court, questioning his ministerial status.
After wresting Bihar from BJP in 2015 Assembly election, Nitish Kumar had appointed Prashant Kishor as his advisor and awarded him with a cabinet rank for successfully spearheading his election campaign.
Earlier, state BJP leader Sushil Modi had also raised the question about Kishor being given a cabinet rank, despite he not attending any meeting of the council of ministers. Kishor was given the charge of Bihar Vikas Mission (BVM).
According to rules, action should be taken against any Minister who has not participated in any meeting of the council of ministers.
According to reports, Kishor hasn't attended any meeting of BVM, nor has he visited his office even once.
