Mumbai: The Mumbai Police, probing the case of alleged misbehaviour filed by actress Preity Zinta against her former boyfriend Ness Wadia, has recorded IPL COO Sunder Raman's statement. According to Raman's statement to the police, Preity Zinta and Ness Wadia had three arguments on May 30, 2014. First was in front of the team staff, the second when Preity went back to her seat and the last argument was on the ground.
According to the police, the person seen in the CCTV video having an argument with Zinta is not Ness Wadia but Ankit Baldi, the BCCI official. Baldi's statement has also been recorded by the police.
The police will also be recording the statements of team manager, hospitality management and staff for further clarification in the case.
The business tycoon's father Nusli Wadia filed a complaint against the threat calls from the underworld don and the preliminary inquiry has revealed that the caller was Ravi Pujari. Underworld don Ravi Pujari is known for making extortion calls to celebrities.
The Wadia Group filed a complaint in the NM Joshi Marg police station in Mumbai where it says the alleged threat call was made on Monday evening.
Police recorded Nusli Wadia's personal secretary's statements in connection with the case. It is being reported that Pujari had made several calls to Wadia's PA which went unanswered. Later in the day, around 8 pm, an SMS was sent asking the senior Wadia to remain aloof from the Preity Zinta case or else his business interests would be harmed.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police has established contact with Preity Zinta and she is expected to record her statement by the end of this week.
