HYDERABAD: President Pratibha Patil arrived here on Sunday by a special flight for her 10-day southern sojourn in the city.After landing, she drove straight to Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bollarum in Secunderabad where she will stay till January 4.Governor ESL Narasimhan, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and his cabinet colleagues extended warm welcome to the president.Legislative Council chairman A Chakrapani, deputy chief minister C Damodar Rajanarsimha, ministers P Sabitha Reddy, V Sunitha Laxma Reddy, P Shankar Rao, M Mukesh Goud, chief secretary Pankaj Dwivedi, DGP V Dinesh Reddy and several others were also present at the airport to receive the president.Shankar Sulks: Meanwhile, textiles and handlooms minister Shankar Rao, who is known for controversies, has expressed anger at officials for 'failure' to follow protocol. He complained that officials did not give him priority despite knowing that he was a local MLA.The issue would be brought to chief minister's notice and, if no action was taken, it would be taken to the Congress high command's notice, he said.
