KADAPA: All 29 pro-Jagan MLAs who have resigned are planing to undertake a bus yatra across AP to spread the message that they resigned in protest against the ‘insult’ inflicted on former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy by the ruling party. The MLAs, who came here after submitting their resignation letters to Assembly secretary paid floral tributes to late leader at his memorial at Idupulapaya and placed copies of their letters at the samadhi. They declared that they were ready to sacrifice their lives for YSR’s family. Payakaraopet MLA Babu Rao administered a pledge declaring their allegiance to YSR’s family. Babu Rao said Congress, which was unable to digest growing popularity of YSR family, conspired to defame it by levelling baseless and wild charges against its members to erase respect, goodwill and image of YSR.He said that they would repulse Congress’ attempt to defame YSR’s family and prove their strength and popularity of YSR Congress among the people. He asserted that only Jagan was capable of implementing welfare schemes introduced by his father. “We will prove our strength soon in peoples’ court where Congress cannot stand,” they declared and claimed that Congress and TDP candidates would not be able to retain their deposits in the by-elections. The MLAs arrived by bus from Tirupati airport to Idupulapaya around midnight on Monday.They were welcomed by people with pomp. Crackers were burst and slogans were shouted hailing YSR and his family and denouncing Congress. On Tuesday, the group met YSRC honorary president YS Vijayamma. Appreciating the MLAs’ decision of resigning for YSR family, she welcomed them into her party. YSRC leaders Sobha Nagi Reddy and Konda Surekha said that they would have a meeting with YS Jagan in Hyderabad on August 30.
