BANGALORE: The anti-corruption movement in the city got a boost as Kannada matinee idol Shivaraj Kumar, Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravishankar, freedom fighter Doreswamy Naidu and many others joined Justice N Santosh Hegde to inspire thousands of college students to protest against Anna’s detention at the  Freedom park and demand a strong Lokpal Bill. The crowd went into raptures when Shivrajkumar said that he is solidly behind Anna and would solicit support in the film fraternity for the movement to check corruption, which is prevalent in all spheres of the country.Sri Sri Ravishankar wanted an immediate solution to the deadlock between the Union government and Anna’s team over different issues as if Anna stretches his fast beyond a certain limit it would have an  adverse effect on his health.Ravishankar also said that corruption should be checked in all levels and those in power should shed their arrogance and listen to the voice of the people. While encouraging the youth to actively participate in the movement, Ravishankar said that India has woken up for a cause and nobody can stop it till it is achieved.
