An elderly couple in Pune was robbed of jewellery worth Rs 5 lakh in a broad daylight robbery while they stopped to eat vada pav at a stall.
The incident, captured on nearby CCTV, occurred on Thursday afternoon as the couple was returning from the bank on their two-wheeler.
The footage shows the couple parking their white scooter on the roadside before entering the food stall. While the man goes inside to buy vada pav, the woman waits near the scooter.

A man dressed in a white shirt and blue jeans can be seen lingering around the woman. As she bends down to check something, the man swiftly grabs the bag containing the jewellery and runs away. The woman, visibly confused, is then seen running after him and screaming for help.
As per an NDTV report, the bag also contained bank documents and their mobile phone. The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
