Railway staffs house burgled

CHENNAI: Burglars decamped with 40 sovereigns of jewellery from the house of a senior railway official at Egmore on Wednesday night.  G Eunice Getzie (53), who works as superintendent  and lives at the railway quarters on Gandhi-Irwin Road had gone to church at Purasawakkam when the incident occurred. When they returned around 5 am, they found the front door of the house broken and jewellery stolen, police said.
