Rains cause hardship to pilgrims

SABARIMALA:  Pilgrims faced severe hardships at Nilackal parking area due to the slurry surface consequent on the rains that lashed since Friday.The slippery of the parking area forced the pilgrims to park their vehicles on the sides of the interior roads at Nilackal pilgrim transit camp.  Parking of vehicles on both sides of the roads caused frequent traffic problems. Poor lighting at rubber estate near the parking area added to the problems of the pilgrims.On account of the problems for parking at Nilackal,  pilgrim vehicles were seen on the roadsides of Mannarakulanji-Chalakayam road. Lack of adequate number of  policemen, especially traffic police, may cause traffic bottlenecks on the main road.
