According to the MeT department, Saharanpur recorded 60 mm rains followed by Maharani 30 mm, Varanasi 20 mm and Rajghat and Lalitpur 10 mm each.

Rain and thundershowers would continue at isolated places over the state, it said.

Meanwhile, major rivers continue to flow over the danger mark at a number of places in the state, a report of the Central Water Commission said.

Sharda river was flowing above danger mark at Paliakalan in Lakhimpur district, Ghaghra river was above red mark at Elgin Bridge in Barabanki, Ayodhya and Turtipar in Ballia, while Rapti river was above danger mark at Balrampur and Birdghat in Gorakhpur.

Kwano river was above danger mark at Mukhlispur in Sant Kabir Nagar.
