Rajagopal slams government over celebration

KOCHI: Former Union Minister and BJP leader O Rajagopal has said that the State Government did not celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda in a proper way. He was speaking at the Swami Vivekananda 150th Birth Anniversary Celebration - 2012-2013 being held at Children’s Park in Kochi.Rajagopal said there was no mention of Vivekananda’s name or his picture in the banners displayed during the Youth Day celebrations, as part of the birth anniversary conducted by the state government.Justice M Ramachandran, V Nithyanandhabhatt, K G Venugopal, B Prakash Babu, C G Rajagopal, R Sreejith were present at the function.
