Rice reveals: Secret of her energy
She is 52 years old and her job profile includes deciding the foreign policy of the world's most powerful nation. Yet, Rice remains fit as a fiddle. CNN-IBN tries to find out the secret of her energy.

New Delhi: She is 52 years old and her work profile includes deciding the foreign policy of the world's most powerful nation.

She is US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. While she has been in the news for all reasons right or wrong, it remains an intrigue as to how does this most powerful lady of the world keep herself fit as a fiddle.

"I'll go work out on the elliptical treadmill which I have bought at my home. I put in a little gym at my apartment, and I'll go every morning for 40 or so minutes on that. I'm a little over 50 and I have spent a lot of years as a figure-skater banging my knees and legs against the ice and so I've decided I'm going to speed-walk and walk hills instead of running," Rice explains with a broad smile.

Even though it might sound as if Rice is preparing herself for the next Olympics, yet with a workload that would give even the die-hard workaholics an inferiority complex, Rice keeps herself fighting fit by following a strict exercise regime.

The Secretary of State gets up at 4:30 every morning, just to work out, regardless of where she is in the world.

"Part of the secret of travelling well, I think, is continuing your routine when you're on the road. So when I'm on the road, I absolutely schedule time to get up in the morning and exercise first," Rice admits.

Currently in India with the US President George Bush, the next few days are going to be hectic for Rice as well as the dignitaries from both sides.

And Rice remains fresh as ever, and yes she's got up at 4.30 in the morning and exercised, every day.

What's your reaction?
