ANANTAPUR: Differences cropped up in the Satya Sai Central Trust over giving importance to Satyajit, caretaker and disciple of the godman, in the Trust during an emergency meeting held here on Tuesday morning.According to sources, three members of the trust -- former SC judge Justice Bhagavathi, S V Giri and L Srinivasan -- proposed to give a prominent post to Baba's close disciple Satyajit which was vehemently opposed by R J Ratnakar, nephew of Satya Sai Baba and a member of the Trust. It is learnt that Ratnakar wanted the Trust to give no importance to Satyajit under any circumstances.Failing to arrive at a decision on the issue, the meeting was deferred till afternoon at this juncture. However, no members turned up for the meet even after 3 p.m. Earlier, the Trust members decided to appoint former Supreme Court judge Justice AP Misra as a member of the Trust Management Council. The members held protracted discussion on reopening the Yajurveda Mandir but could not finalise a date for it.It is learnt that the Trust members reacted sharply to media reports and criticism from various quarters on the delay in opening it.However, the Trust members unanimously resolved to be transparent in the reopening of the Mandir and decided to open the locks in the presence of relatives of Sai Baba, officials and mediapersons.Trust member Indulal Shah also attended the meeting.Mediapersons who gathered at the meeting hall in the morning soon left the place with the Trust officials assuring them that they would release a press note on the decisions taken at the meeting.
