PUDUCHERRY: The hearing in the Sankararaman murder case was adjourned to June 8. Special public prosecutor N Devadoss examined one of the witnesses Kalyanasundaram when the case came up before the principal district and sessions judge T Ramaswamy, on Monday.The examination of S P Sakthivel, who was then the chief investigating officer for the probe (now retired), remained inconclusive today.The judge then adjourned the hearing to June 8. Sankararaman, manager in the Varadarajaperumal temple in Kancheepuram, was allegedly murdered on the premises of the temple on September 3, 2004.Kanchi Sankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi and his junior Vijayendra Saraswathi are the prime accused. The case was shifted to Puducherry by the Supreme Court in October 2005.
