The Crime Branch team
investigating the death of Bihari youth Satnam Singh filed a report before the
court on Monday, arraigning four working patients of the Government Mental
Health Centre, Peroorkkada, in the case.The team also produced the accused, Biju and Dileep, hailing from
Thiruvananthapuram, Manjeesh of Kollam and Sarath Chandran alias Pratheesh of
Alappuzha before the Judicial First Class Magistrate court here.All four persons were arraigned as the third, fourth, fifth and sixth accused
in the case.
Magistrate K P Sunil remanded the four accused in judicial custody till
September 11.Biju was sent to the District Sub-Jail and Dileep to the Poojapura Central
Prison.Manjeesh and Sarath Chandran were sent back to the mental hospital, where they
will be under judicial custody.
Meanwhile, the Crime Branch decided to dispatch a team to Bihar to collect more
information regarding Satnam Singh and also to record the statements of his
parents and relatives.A Crime Branch Circle Inspector will lead the team.
