Satnam Case: Crime Branch submits report

Follow us:WhatsappFacebookTwitterTelegram.cls-1{fill:#4d4d4d;}.cls-2{fill:#fff;}Google NewsThe Crime Branch teaminvestigating the death of Bihari youth Satnam Singh filed a report before thecourt on Monday, arraigning four working patients of the Government MentalHealth Centre, Peroorkkada, in the case.The team also produced the accused, Biju and Dileep, hailing fromThiruvananthapuram, Manjeesh of Kollam and Sarath Chandran alias Pratheesh ofAlappuzha before the Judicial First Class Magistrate court here.All four persons were arraigned as the third, fourth, fifth and sixth accusedin the case.Magistrate K P Sunil remanded the four accused in judicial custody tillSeptember 11.Biju was sent to the District Sub-Jail and Dileep to the Poojapura CentralPrison.Manjeesh and Sarath Chandran were sent back to the mental hospital, where theywill be under judicial custody.Meanwhile, the Crime Branch decided to dispatch a team to Bihar to collect moreinformation regarding Satnam Singh and also to record the statements of hisparents and relatives.A Crime Branch Circle Inspector will lead the team.first published:January 01, 1970, 05:30 ISTlast updated:January 01, 1970, 05:30 IST
