Scam hits J&K cricket body, Farooq faces flak
Two JKCA office bearers have been asked to step down following charges of their involvement in the alleged embezzlement of funds.

Jammu: A multi-crore financial scam in the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association has left its president Farooq Abdullah red faced. CNN-IBN has accessed documents that reveal how bogus accounts were opened to siphon off funds from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Rough estimates suggest that the Indian cricket board had sent over Rs 30 crore in two years for promotions to the state association.

Two JKCA office bearers have been asked to step down following charges of their involvement in the alleged embezzlement of funds.

The opposition PDP created a ruckus in the state assembly on Thursday demanding that an FIR be registered against Abdullah.
