HYDERABAD: When there is a hectic activity in Delhi on the Telangana issue, leaders of Andhra and Rayalaseema regions have remained cool without any visible activity on their part. Seemandhra elected public representatives’ convener and school education minister S Sailajanath, senior Congress leader and former minister Gade Venkata Reddy, law minister E Pratap Reddy, MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy and several others visited the Congress Legislature Party office here on Saturday. For them, it was like any other day. They did not seem to be bothered about the Delhi developments and were busy with their own work. They didn’t even discuss the T-issue among themselves or with their colleagues or friends. The Congress high command has invited Seemandhra leaders also to Delhi for consultations but those in Hyderabad seemed least bothered about it too.Sailajanath said it was not essay to settle the bifurcation issue and hoped that the Congress high command would take a good decision which would help the state achieve overal development. He reiterated that they remained committed to Samaikyandhra and had made known their opinions to the party high command several times. If necessary, they were ready to visit Delhi again to assert their position once again, he said and reiterated that they were opposed to bifurcation of the state.In an informal chat, Gade Venkata Reddy said the Congress and the UPA government would take some more time to resolve the issue.
