HYDERABAD: AICC general secretary Ghulam Nabi Azad interacted with about 15 PRP leaders in Delhi on Monday. It was considered an ice-breaking exercise since most of the PRP leaders are not known to him personally.During the interaction, Azad elicited suggestions from them on strengthening the Congress party and what he expected of them in this direction. The leaders included Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao, Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Vanga Geetha and C Ramachandraiah.Chiranjeevi, who conferred with Azad on Saturday, stayed put in Delhi since Azad wanted him to introduce the important leaders of his party to him ahead of the merger of the PRP with the Congress.Sources say Chiranjeevi has been offered minister of state in the Central Cabinet with shipping portfolio in a thanks-giving gesture for merger with Congress.
