Siddaiahs transfer: Opposition cries foul

BANGALORE: The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) leaders, both Congress and Janatha Dal (Secular) smell foul play in the transfer of Commissioner H Siddiah from Palike.In a press release, Opposition leader, M Udayshankar said that transferring Siddiah is an act to cover up the multi-crore bogus bill scam. He blamed it on BJP MLAs, who pressured the Chief Minister for the transfer. “Instead of handing over the case to a strong agency for probe, the government  has transferred the commissioner, which is not fair,” he said.JD(S) leader Padmanabha Reddy said that after Siddiah wrote a letter to the state government to handover the scam to Lokayukta, he was transferred. This arises  suspicion.
