SIs husband hurt in attack

VELLORE:  A Sub Inspector’s husband was attacked near Gudiyatham, on Wednesday night. Kumaresan (35) a financier from Nellurpet near Gudiyatham was married to Gowri, a Sub Inspector at the Prohibition Enforcement Wing in Cheyyar in Tiruvannamalai. Kumaresan was travelling on his motorcycle to a hospital in KV Kuppam where his sick mother was admitted.On the way, he had an argument with two persons on a motorcycle who were proceeding in the opposite direction. This was then said to have grown into a quarrel, after which the duo attacked him with an iron. Kumaresan was injured and admitted to the Gudiyatham Government Hospital.
