HYDERABAD: In a ghastly road accident, seven persons were killed and six others suffered serious injuries after the four-wheeler in which they were travelling overturned reportedly due to bursting of the tyre of the vehicle in Nizamabad district on Friday morning.Nine members of a family from Maharashtra were proceeding to Mancherial in Adilabad to attend the funeral of their relative in a Qualis vehicle and five of them died instantly.The vehicle rammed into a two-wheeler coming from the opposite direction before coming to a halt leaving three motorists also severely injured.The mishap took place at around 7.30 a.m near the local MDO office at Morthad in the district.According to reports reaching here, a family from Dharmabad in Maharashtra were on their way to Mancherial to attend the funeral of their relative.As the vehicle reached Morthad, the right side wheel of the vehicle burst and the driver, Srinivas (35), lost control over the vehicle. The vehicle crashed into a two-wheeler coming from the opposite direction and later overturned. Apart from Srinivas, five others, Shyam Sunder Lohia (50), Swaraka Das Sarade (55), Gopi Kishan Sarade (50), Jamuna Bai (50) and Om Prakash Sarade (50), died on the spot. Three others who were travelling in the vehicle and three persons who were travelling on the motorcycle suffered severe injuries and were shifted to Armoor hospital for treatment. One of them died while undergoing treatment. The condition of the injured is stated to be serious.
