BANGALORE: The High Court on Monday directed the Slum Clearance Board to produce documents to prove that the houses constructed near Kempambudhi Park was set aside for that purpose.A division bench comprising Chief Justice J S Khehar and Justice H G Ramesh observed that the bench will have to draw adverse inference if the documents are not produced by the board.Ravi Shankar had filed a PIL requesting the court to direct the board to stop constructing the houses for the slum dwellers at Kempambudhi Park. The petitioner contended that the BBMP had notified 1 acre and 30 guntas of land in Sanyasigunte for rehabilitating the slum dwellers and the board is constructing 206 houses in the park instead of Sanyasigunte though it is not notified for that purpose.
