HYDERABAD: BJP spokesman NVSS Prabhakar took serious exception to the state government not announcing any package to drought-hit farmers. It is surprising that the government had not done anything to mitigate the sufferings of farmers after declaring 550 mandals as having been affected by drought, he said.Addressing a news conference here on Friday, he demanded that the chief minister lead an all-party delegation to Delhi to bring pressure on the Centre for announcing a generous drought package for farmers and others affected by it.He said that each time drought hits the state, the Centre has been adopting a step-motherly attitude towards Andhra Pradesh. He wanted the state government to bring forth a legislation banning religious conversions in the state
