Stalin takes potshots at AIADMK

CHENNAI: The ruling AIADMK is showing ‘resolve’ in not implementing the Uniform System of Education (USE), DMK top leader and former deputy chief minister M K Stalin said here, on Tuesday.Speaking at a function organised to felicitate Ezra Sargunam, Bishop of the Evangelical Church of India, on his 73rd birthday, Stalin said that during his party’s  regime, the USE was implemented only after thorough scrutiny by a renowned team of experts. “The AIADMK is showing resolve in seeing that the rich and the poor do not get the same kind of quality education. This is painful,” he charged. Despite the ruling of the court on the issue and the persuasion of allies, the AIADMK has not come forward to enforce the USE, he added.
