Suspected ISI agent held in Hyderabad
The Hyderabad police on Sunday arrested a suspected ISI agent near the city bus stop on Raj Bhavan road.

New Delhi: The Hyderabad police on Sunday arrested a suspected ISI agent near a bus stop on Raj Bhavan road.

News agency PTI quoted police officials as saying that the twenty six-year-old Maqsood Ahmed, a resident of Malakpet area in old city in Hyderabad, was apprehended by Task force personnel at the city bus stop.

Ahmed reportedly confessed before police that he was assigned to recruit youths to carry out violent activities and also train some of them as human bombs.

Following Ahmed’s arrest, the intelligence wing tightened the security of some state Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders.

The leader's whose security has been beefed up include party chief and former union minister Bandaru Dattatreya, national secretary N Indrasena Reddy and senior leader B Bal Reddy.
