HYDERABAD: Majlis Bachao Tehreek (MBT) corporator Amjed Ullah Khan charged police with slow pace of investigation into the Mecca Masjid blast case. Reminded that the blast took place on May 18, 2007, the corporator said police failed to arrest the real culprits in connection with it till now.Many top RSS leaders including RSS spokesperson Indresh Kumar and Ram Madhav, whose names cropped up during the investigation and confession statement of Swami Aseemanand, have still been not called for investigation.The state government also failed in taking action against police officers responsible for firing on Muslim youth on that day. During the firing, as many as eight youth died. He alleged that police had arrested many innocent Muslim youths in the name of investigation into the blast case.Khan also appealed to Muslim and secular organisations to observe Mecca Masjid Blast Day as ‘anti-terrorist’ day.
