Mumbai: Team Yahoo, consisting contestants and choreographers of 'Dance India Dance (DID) L'il Masters Season 2' walked away with the winner's trophy in the grand finale of 'DID Dance Ke Superkids' Sunday night.
The five-week series had two teams, consisting of seven kids each from 'DID L'il Masters Season 1' and 'DID L'il Masters Season 2'. It was judged by Geeta Kapur, Marzi Pestonji and Farah Khan with actor Mithun Chakraborty as grand master.
While Team Yahoo was led by choreographers Raghav Juyal, Kruti Mahesh and Prince Gupta and included Faisal Khan, Shalini Moitra, Saumya Rai, Om Chetri, Jeet Das, Rohan Parkale, and Tanay Malhara, Team Wakao had choreographers and contestants from 'DID L'il Masters Season 1'.
Team Wakao was captained by Dharmesh Yelande, Mayuresh Vadkar and Vrushali Chavan and included Jeetumoni Kalita, Vatsal Vithlani, Ruturaj Mahalim, Vaishnavi Patil, Atul Banmoria, Anurag Sarmah, and Khyati Patel.
Tanay of Team Yahoo walked away with the award for best solo performance of the series. He was presented an HP Ink Advantage printer.
The finale saw a melange of performances. Choreographer Terence Lewis opened the show by shaking a leg with all the 14 children on the new version of the song 'Disco Deewane' from the film 'Student Of The Year'. Om and Tanay also peformed with 'Dance India Dance Season 3' winner Rajasmitha on 'O re piya'.
Then came a classical dance performance by Shalini, Vaishnavi, Vrushali and Kruti. The classical act was followed by another scintillating group dance act by the children, where they stunned everybody by performing different dance styles.
Geeta Kapur and Farah Khan upped the entertainment quotient by performing on "Munni badnam", "Sheila ki jawaani" and I want just you". The show was hosted by Jay Bhanushali and "DID L'il Masters Season 2" contestant Shreya Acharya.
The kids got emotional as they hugged judges Geeta, Farah and Marzi, at the end of the show.
