Training term of police to be put under service

ALUVA: The government order to include the training period of police personnel in their service period will be implemented without delay, Excise Minister K Babu has said here. He was inaugurating the valedictory function of the Ernakulam Rural District Convention of Kerala Police Officers Association (KPOA) here the other day. “Even minor mistakes of the police would be projected as a major crime by the public. It would tarnish the image of the entire police force,” he said. The minister called upon the police officers to keep away from vices and irregularities as a part of building up the image of the police force. Babu said the government was aware of the huge expenses incurred by the police personnel during the process of investigating serious crimes. He promised that the government would take favourable action in that regard. Presiding over the meeting, KPOA district president K G Babukumar said that cyber crimes were on the increase at an alarming rate.
