Tribals Association to stage stir on December 5

ERODE: The Tamil Nadu Pazhangudi Makkal Sangam will stage a State-wide demonstration on December 5 to press for a CBI probe into the the alleged rape of four tribal women by policemen in Villupuram district.Talking to Express, the association’s state president and Pennagaram CPI MLA Nanjappan alleged that the police were trying to hush up the crime. As such, a CBI probe is being sought to ensure justice to the poor tribal women. To press for the demand and stringent punishment to the accused, the association had planned to stage demonstrations in all district capitals on December 5, Pennagaram CPI MLA Nanjappan added.
