Go to Twitetr's advance search page here and scroll down to go to the 'Dates' section. You can mention the time period and can search for tweets within the specified period.
It is one of the features users have been looking forward to since Twitter showed up in 2006. Having rolled out other new features in the recent past, the company seems to be in full swing to enrich its users' experience.
