ANANTAPUR : Close on the heels of the kidnap of an oil mill owner in Dharmavaram, a fiveyearold son of a prominent businessman was kidnapped on Thursday.Bharadwaj, a UKG student of Jeevanand English Medium School, is the son of Srinivasulu, a noted silk merchant in the town.According to the police, Bharadwaj came home for lunch and left for the school, which is just a stone's throw away from his house, unescorted.When the school authorities informed the parents that Bharadwaj did not return to the school after lunch break, they got worried and lodged a complaint with the Dharmavaram police.Enquiries revealed that the boy was kidnapped by three people, who came on a motorcycle.The abductors had not so far made any call for ransom. Dharmavaram DSP Nawab Jan said special teams have launched search operations for rescuing the boy. Meanwhile, the boy's parents said they had no rivalry with anyone.
