UP: 18 Dead, Several Injured After Double-Decker Bus Hits Milk Tanker On Lucknow-Agra Expressway
Upon receiving the incident information, police reached the spot, rescued all the injured, and admitted them to a Community Health Centre in Bangarmau for treatment.

Eighteen people were killed and several others sustained injuries after a Delhi-bound double-decker bus rammed into a milk tanker on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway in Uttar Pradesh’s Unnao on Wednesday morning.

Upon receiving the incident information, police reached the spot, rescued all the injured, and admitted them to a Community Health Centre in Bangarmau for treatment. Police said necessary action was being taken by taking the bodies in custody.

Unnano District Magistrate Gaurang Rathi said, “Today, around 05.15 am, a private bus coming from Motihari, Bihar collided with a milk tanker. 18 people have lost their lives and 19 others are injured in the accident. After the initial investigation, it looks like the bus was overspeeding. The injured are getting treatment.”

Uttar Pradesh CM Expresses Grief

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the road accident in Unnao district and expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. He directed the officials to reach the spot immediately and expedite the relief work, the chief minister’s office said.
