Veteran Southern actress Rajasulochna passes away
She made a debut in films with 'Gunasagari' in 1953 and was noted for her roles in the South cinema as well as Hindi films.

Veteran Telugu actress Rajasulochana passed away at her residence in Chennai on March 5, 2013. She was 77 and is survived by two daughters.

"She was suffering from breathing problems over the last few days and passed away this morning in her sleep," said a family member.

She was born on August 15, 1935 in Vijayawada in Andra Pradesh and was a trained classical dancer.

She founded the 'Pushpanjali Nritya Kala Kendram in 1961 in Chennai. The institute celebrated its silver jubliee in 1986.

She made a debut in films with 'Gunasagari' in 1953 and was noted for her roles in the South cinema as well as Hindi films.

She had acted in over 274 films in South with famous actors like NTR, MGR, Sivaji Ganeshan.

Some of her best films include Pandava Vanavasam, Jayabheri, Thathamanavadu, Shanthi Nivasam.

She was married to Telugu director C S Rao.

Her funeral will be done in Chennai on March 6, 2013.
