A Vigilance court on Thursday ordered filing of FIR against former Patna University Vice-Chancellor and two other senior officers of the university over a complaint of financial irregularity.
Vigilance Court judge Bijendra Kumar Rai ordered Vigilance department to lodge FIR against ex-Patna University Vice-Chancellor Shambhu Nath Singh, present Registrar Vibhash Kumar Yadav and university Finance officer Awdesh Singh and investigate the complaint of financial irregularities.
Ashok Kumar, a member of civil society, had filed a complaint in Vigilance court alleging the three of financial irregularities.
Singh was removed from the post of vice-chancellor after Supreme Court had struck down the appointments of VC and pro-VC made by former Bihar governor Devanand Konwar.
