Violence witnessed at pop singer Jazzy B's show in J-K
Police had to fire tear gas shells to control the rowdy crowd.

Jammu: Police on Saturday night fired three rounds of tear gas shells in air and resorted to lathicharge to disperse the angry crowd which had come to witness a show by Punjabi pop singer Jazzy B in MAM stadium in Jammu.

The trouble started when some people from the audience went up to the dais and started dancing to disturb the show, police said.

Police rushed to the spot and tried to maintain the order following which the audience started shouting slogans for disrupting the programme.

There were reportedly about 2500-3000 people in the audience.

Police resorted to lathicharge and fired three rounds of tear gas shells in the air at the gate of the stadium to disperse the crowd, they said, adding the situation in the area is under control.

No one was injured in the incident.
