HYDERABAD: Minor irrigation minister T G Venkatesh has hit upon a new idea to wean away voters, in Kovur assembly constituency, from YSR Congress nominee Nallapureddi Prasanna Kumar Reddy. “If you vote for YSR Congress, you should realise that you are voting for bifurcation of the state,” Venkatesh proclaimed, making an appeal to voters. Speaking to mediapersons on assembly premises on Thursday, he said that voting in favour of YSR Congress was against the objective and ideal of Potti Sriramulu who laid down his life for formation of Andhra Pradesh. The Kurnool leader said that if KCR wants to address election rallies in Kovur, he was welcome but he should refrain from making inflammatory speeches. He said that he would visit Telangana assembly constituencies to campaign for Congress nominees if the party directed him to do so.
